Timothy Kneen

Tim has wide experience of Healthcare having worked in the Pharmaceutical industry for over 25 years in many different business roles.

Tim has successfully driven transformation, change initiatives and building business expansion across many diverse environments from China, Russia, Africa, Middle East, Asia Pacific and European regions. He has built insight and experience of building and leading in challenging, volatile, innovative and complex markets and situations. Building strategic insight, driving projects forward, advancing business through successful execution. Tim has built a unique insight and knowledge of leading and developing large, complex teams, building individual engagement and performance, having acquired experience across many challenging leadership roles.

Most recently Tim has been Chief Commercial Officer leading global commercial operations for Theramex – a private equity led new company, with responsibility for building and establishing commercial operations, while running the business transformation process. Tim worked for Merck KGaA in leadership roles across many geographies.  Tim had responsibility for European business as Executive President for the Europe & Canada Region, based in Germany, leading the regional platform team and all the country operations for the entire Pharma business. Prior to this he was Regional President for the Asia Pacific region with Regional HQ in Singapore, having responsibility for all countries in the Asia Pacific region. Before this, Vice President for the Intercontinental region based in Geneva, having responsibility for Russia, Middle East and African territories. This was preceded with a role as General Manager and Managing Director for the Middle East business.

Tim is originally from the UK, where he earned his first degree at Birmingham University as a Biologist. He then joined the Pharma industry in the UK and worked as Medical Rep, then into Sales Management and Marketing leading the UK Merck organisation. Tim completed his MBA through Ashridge Business School and then the international career followed which has created the wealth of experience, business insight and learning that Tim is able to share.
